kosheen are back with ‘get a new one’, the first single from their forthcoming album independence.
get a new one mixes out now exclusively on beat port!
alongside the main radio edit mix comes a host of different remixes: kosheen djs do a techno version, while kalms take things in a tech house direction. tech itch turns in two heavy drum & bass remixes, h.e.n.c.h.’s jakes brings the dubstep flavours and rounding things off is a breaks version courtesy of ways & means.

thanks to dj support right across the board ‘get a new one’ went straight in at number 11 in the music week cool cuts chart and is currently sitting at number 9. amongst the club tastemakers digging the record and mixes are; 16bit, rack n ruin, laurent garnier, anderson noise, trolley snatcha, friction, adam f, utah jazz, switch, tony senghore, plump djs, napt, max cooper, kris di angelis, moguai, kaiserdisco, satoshi tomiie and misk.
‘get a new one’ is released on february 13th 2012 (exclusively through beatport from january 30th) and independence is set for release in may.
kosheen are also planning a uk and european tour this spring to support the album. dates are still being confirmed and will be announced on kosheen.eu in due course.
